■ Purpose
The purpose of our foundation is to promote education for culture, health, and environmental protection, improve quality of life, advocate health knowledge, and encourage physical and mental health in citizens. We carry out the following affairs according to law:

  • Hold social welfare events
  • Establish awards for outstanding college students who are underprivileged
  • Organize health talks, health knowledge education advocacy activities
  • Award cultural, sports, academic work and environmental and health education
  • Hold health education events for teenagers
  • Hold other events consistent with the Foundation's purpose

The association has established a fund of NT$10 million in total.

■ Activity
Commissioned the Academia Sinica’s research and study studio to conduct a “Comparison Study on Life Arrangements and Expectations of the Elderly and Middle Aged in urban Areas” in 1998 as a reference for the public to pay more attention to issues and welfare for elders.

  • 2000
    1. Sponsored National Taiwan University’s study of ancient jade, and event relating to cross-industry exchange symposiums in the Taiwan University Alliance Think-tank.
    2. Co-organized and sponsored the 2000 Vocational College Teachers’ Training in Public and Private Organizations.
    3. Co-organized and sponsored the “National Campus AIDS Symposium Tour”.

  • 2001
    1. Sponsored the Agape Social Welfare Association’s Leadership Camp for Hearing Impaired Youths.
    2. Co-organized a four day Lifelong Learning Community Internet Learning Class for the Elderly on March 3rd.
    3. Held a home care lecture to teach professional home care knowledge.
    4. Held a home care lecture in northern Taiwan on the daily care of the elderly and bed-ridden patients.
    5. Held a home care lecture in southern Taiwan on the daily care of the elderly and bed-ridden patients.

  • 2002
    1. Sponsored I-Shou University’s 2002 National College Sports Day
    2. Held a woman’s health lecture with the National Health Insurance Bureau and Women’s Magazine. The theme of the lecture being “Stay Away from the Nightmare of Wetness: Overview on Female Incontinence”.

  • 2003
    1. Sponsored the AIDS prevention even for the 2003 radio Golden Bell Awards.
    2. Sponsored Dharma Drum Mountain Social Welfare and Charity Foundation’s SARS Outreach Project on May 20th, 2003
    Event purpose: reach out to SARS patients and medical staff in order to heighten their confidence in epidemic prevention efforts.
    Event target: those with SARS and those quarantined

    1. Sponsored Fu Jen University’s Life and Ethic Research Center at the Faculty of Theology on promotion of localized sex education for staying chaste until marriage
    2. Co-organized the Lunghwa University of Science and Technology Field Instruction event with Fu Burg Industrial Co., Ltd. on October 5th, 2004
